HELLO! Welcome to my hobby site.

Below are my goals for 2020.

My goals for this space include:

  • Continue to hone my knitting, spinning, and sewing skills

  • Learn how to weave

  • Use more recycled materials & mend / alter used materials

  • Document my making progress

  • Create my own clothing

  • Use what I have ( i.e. decrease my yarn, fiber, and fabric stashes)

Ravelry

Though I’ve been on Ravelry since 2010, I only recently became addicted to the platform. The button below will take you to my project page.

2020 theme

My hobby theme for 2020 was initially Stash Busting. Given everything that has happened this year, I’ve decided to amend this year’s theme to Joyful Making. For me, Joyful Making is about giving myself permission to knit, sew, spin, and craft as a way to make joy out of uncertainty. Fingers-crossed, I’ll return to Stash Busting in 2021.

I’ve been focusing on the following “makes”:

  • Knit 12 socks - 1 for each month

    • UPDATE 10/20: 6 out of 12 complete.

  • Sew knitting project bags using fabric scraps

    • Update 10/20:

      • 4 sock-sized project bags

      • 1 medium-sized project bag (w/ embroidery)

      • 4 large, sweater-sized project bag

  • Ravelry 2020 Project Challenge - complete 10 projects
